You really ought to give Iowa a Try!
You really ought to give Iowa a Try!
Apple Picking, Flower Picking, Raspberry Picking- depending on the season, and funky local menu at the restaurant. Sunday noon-6 is a band over by the store! Also a great place to catch the nuptials and reception for Watson and Dodson.
Take a tour! Katie works in the Education building.
Walk around down town and look at the ped mall! There are fun restaurants and shops here. (People in photo are strangers.)
Be warned, if you go with Glenn Watson the elder, you may never leave! Also, no trilobites were spotted in this area.
Free entry, and construction is finished. High probability Auntie B can be found here.
I mean, books are great. Also, Iowa City is the first United States UNESCO city of literature. There have been many Pulitzer Prize writers that attended workshops here.
Another spot to find Aunt Beth.
Cute shops and snacks here in an old German settlement. They have German food too! (Take that how you will.)
You can also find his 2 room house here, a quaker place, and his burial site. It is more likely Aunt Lisa will be here. If you go, ask for Ranger Chelsey, the Blacksmith.
Skouby gave this a shout out, and she would know, she is a mom AND a Hawkeye. Kate would like to share it does have a cool ice skating rink and is located off the mall for those that want to take some "me time" for shopping. The list of those to find here is too long.
Seem familiar?
1.5 hr out of town. Why not, you are probably only here once.
(They have clothes you can borrow at the entrance for your own photo op).

Future birthplace...I mean, how cool and it is only 15 min away!
